Photos from my uni rugby match

a game I love so much that I am currently being sideline from an injury from it.

For these photos, I was using my friend's Nikon D800 with a telephoto zoom.

I had never used Nikon before and it was rather fun, trying to learn while scrambling to get good shots, I did use my Leica for some close up shots.

Corporate Portrait fun

With the mid term exam coming to an end, I had a chance to do a corporate portrait yesterday for a french company and it was super fun.

My friend Nong came along with me to help me out and thanks to him as I would never be able to work through it that quick without him.

The appointment was at 10am but we decided to turn up at 8am to look around and block the shots. We were shown around by the friendly staffs whom ready to participate in the photo shoot funness.

At 10am we got our client to come down from his office and we went through all the shots with breeze. Everyone seem to enjoy themselves as I directed them to do some silly things (in corporate world, these actions are deem as crazy but to us it's not that crazy, like smiling. Nah I'm just joking :p)

For the whole shoot, I used my trustee Leica M with 35mm summicron ASPH and a bouncer. I did try to use Nong's Canon DSLR at one point but my fragile recovering from a surgery shoulder wasn't helping out and the DSLR has to be given back to Nong. The Leica was a blessing as it wasn't heavy enough to make my shoulder uncomfortable and the quality of the image was just superb. Delicious I'd say.

We were done by 12pm, here are some behind the scene photos where Nong was being my model while I was trying to block off the shots.

The new m (type 240)

Leica M 240 with 35mm Summicron

Ridiculous dynamic range and sharpness.

I was stunned by the quality of the images it can capture.

The following images are taken straight out from the camera with no adjustment other than White balance and cropping.
